Pantheon

Pantheon vs Fireflies: Meeting Intelligence or Person Context?

TL;DR

Fireflies is a mature meeting assistant with a joining bot, bot-free desktop capture on Mac and Windows, mobile apps, search and CRM integrations. Pantheon’s invite-only Mac alpha is narrower: it records without a bot and lists meetings with each attendee next to their Telegram, WhatsApp and iMessage conversations. Fireflies is a strong choice for meeting operations; Pantheon adds a person-centered view for messenger-led relationships.

What Fireflies does well

Fireflies offers meeting capture, transcripts, search, AskFred and team workflows. Its desktop guide documents bot-free capture on Mac and Windows; its regular Notetaker bot can join calls. The product site lists web and mobile apps. Its HubSpot guide describes pushing notes and summaries to CRM records. Those are substantial strengths for teams running a meeting program.

How the notes attach to people

Fireflies’ manual CRM guide describes recipient-email matching for CRM records. Email matching is useful when every attendee has an address on file, but can miss someone known only from a messenger or phone number. Pantheon lists each recording as a note with the meeting’s people, beside that person’s Telegram, WhatsApp and iMessage conversations in the same workspace.

When to keep Fireflies

Keep Fireflies if you need Windows, mobile capture, its broader team features or an established CRM integration. Pantheon’s note taker is in invite-only alpha on Apple-silicon Macs. Running both can make sense for different calls and needs; Fireflies recordings do not automatically move into Pantheon. Read about bot-free capture.

Is Fireflies being sued over AI training?

Not according to the publicly available complaints. Since December 2025, putative class actions such as Fricker v. Fireflies.AI Corp., No. 1:26-cv-02675 (N.D. Ill.), filed on 10 March 2026, have alleged that Fireflies' speaker-recognition feature creates voiceprints without the written notice and consent required by the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act. Fireflies' motion to dismiss was fully briefed on 26 August 2026, and as of 12 October 2026 there is no ruling. No court has found Fireflies liable. Per its privacy policy as of October 2026, Fireflies says it does not use personal information for AI model training. Read the AI note taker privacy guide.
