Overview

Port density is what makes the SN4600C a spine and super-spine platform — 64 ports in 2U aggregates a large number of leaf uplinks without chaining tiers. NVIDIA specifies it for the 100GbE storage and in-band management fabrics in DGX BasePOD and SuperPOD, so it is the network layer around a GPU cluster rather than the compute in it, which is why it turns up in GPU bills of materials. Every port breaks out to 10, 25, 40, and 50GbE, so one platform serves both access and aggregation as a cluster grows — but breakout consumes ports in groups, so settle the speed mix before sizing switch count.
