F520 Optical Protection — OLP Line & OCP Channel Switching (TORmem)
TORmem F520 OLP and OCP optical protection cards — automatically switch traffic to a backup fiber path on a line cut or channel fault, for the F520 transport platform.
Optical protection guards a DWDM route against a fiber cut. An OLP (optical line protection) card monitors the working line and switches the whole line to a standby fiber path when it fails; an OCP (optical channel protection) card does the same at the individual-channel level. The F520 line offers both as chassis cards or 1U standalone units, with sub-second switching. Protection scheme and path map are matched to your network topology — exact configuration confirmed at quote.
