What Shipped in August 2026: Smarter Notes and a Better Inbox

The short version: August was about getting ordinary work unstuck. You can take a note from a recorded meeting, find your way back to the transcript, and share the finished note. In the inbox, you can find the message you need and quiet a chat without losing track of it.

Notes became a place to finish the work

Notes used to be easier to capture than to finish or share. Now you can export one cleanly, browse folders as pages, add a description so a collection makes sense later, and send someone a direct link to the note you want them to see.

When a passage needs work, you can select it and ask AI to summarize, improve, or proofread it, or continue the conversation from the note. A note made from a recorded meeting also keeps its people and source attached, with a path back to the transcript when you need to check what was actually said.

Better conversations, fewer workarounds

The inbox got easier to live in on web and desktop. Search now takes you to the message you found, rather than leaving you to hunt through the thread. Archive and mute give you a way to clear a busy list. Attachments, stickers, reactions, and link previews show up with more of the detail you expect; on supported channels, you can also edit, delete, and forward messages.

On desktop, the inbox remembers where you left off between launches. Open it again and you can pick up the conversation you were working through.

The quieter work matters, too

We tightened the controls around sign-in, workspace access, exports, and deletion. Most of that work should stay out of your way during a normal day. The boundaries still need to be clear when you decide who gets access or what to do with your data.

None of this was one giant launch. It was the work of making the next step obvious: find the message, finish the note, share it, and get back to the conversation.
