Caterpillar G3520H natural-gas generator set available through Pantheon. It is rated 2,519 ekW at 50 Hz and 45.3% electrical efficiency, and 2,500 ekW at 60 Hz (2,507 ekW in Cat’s current ratings guide) at about 45%. The engine turns 1,500 rpm at both frequencies; Cat’s 60 Hz datasheet notes a speed-increasing gearbox. Engine-out NOx is 500 mg/Nm³ on the 50 Hz set and 1 g/bhp-hr on the 60 Hz set, the 50 Hz datasheet lists medium-voltage generators from 6.6 to 11 kV, and Cat rates the line for up to 25% hydrogen.
