Mitsubishi Power
Pratt & Whitney FT8 SwiftPac Gas Turbine — 30 MW Single, 60 MW Twin
Mitsubishi Power FT8 SwiftPac aeroderivative gas turbine available for sale — a fast-deploy modular package rated about 30 MW as a single unit or 60 MW as a twin, with a trailer-mounted FT8 MobilePac variant for rapid site power.
The Mitsubishi Power (Aero) FT8 is a Pratt & Whitney JT8D-derived aeroderivative gas turbine available for sale and sourcing through Pantheon. The FT8 SwiftPac is a factory-assembled modular package rated roughly 30 MW as a single unit or 60 MW as a twin (two turbines to one generator), and reaches power in under 30 days of arriving on site with no cooling water required. The trailer-mounted FT8 MobilePac variant delivers about 30 MW and can be driven to site and generating in under a day — a fit for behind-the-meter and bridge power while grid interconnection lags. It runs dual fuel (natural gas or distillate) at 50 or 60 Hz, with fleet reliability above 99%. The FT8 line is now supported by Mitsubishi Power Aero (formerly Pratt & Whitney Power Systems). Exact package, rating, and configuration confirmed at quote.
